Describe one positive change you have made in your life.

Avoiding your mental health is one of the easiest things to do. It is much easier to wake up and convince yourself that you are doing okay, when deep down you know that you are not. Getting by gets caught up with bad decisions which you end up regretting anyway.

The moment I took it upon myself to really take care of my mental health, I finally felt that I was heading into the right direction. It is a consistent process, and it doesn’t get easier. Not making excuses for myself became the biggest challenge. Being honest with what I was feeling, why I was feeling like that and taking accountability for my actions was not easy. But it can be done.

I swapped out bad habits with more intentional habits, and a small back step is met with acceptance.

We do have to acknowledge we need to work on our mental health, and then take the steps to get support. I wish you much success in your journey.
